Lennart Kaltea (b. 1959) is a Swedish photographer and artist whose work begins with scenes built by hand in his studio.

Combining drawings, objects, and sculpted forms, Kaltea constructs the settings that appear in his photographs. Once each scene is complete, he photographs it with a large-format camera. The images are staged physically rather than assembled digitally afterwards.

This hands-on approach brings photography into close contact with sculpture and drawing. Precision, strangeness, and humour run through his work, where the camera records an imagined scene made tangible through materials and craftsmanship.
