Kristian Schuller (b. 1970) is a Romanian-born German photographer whose work brings together fashion, theatre, and fantasy. His background in fashion design informs an approach in which clothing becomes part of a larger imagined world.

Growing up with a father who worked as a theatre director and playwright introduced Schuller to storytelling through performance and staging. This theatrical influence runs through his photographs, where everyday surroundings give way to heightened scenes shaped by colour, movement, and dramatic changes in scale.

Working closely with his wife and creative collaborator, Peggy Schuller, he develops images in which costumes and characters are conceived together. The resulting photographs invite viewers into an extravagant fiction, expressing a fascination with transformation and the possibilities of imagination.
